? Ensure transport documents are properly filed
? Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment
? Research and suggest cost-effective transport methods
? Conduct regular safety audits on vehicles
? Organize training sessions for employees (eg proper use of machines and handling of material)
? Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
? Ensure compliance with company policies and transport legislation
? Stay up-to-date with safety regulations
? Booking in deliveries and liaising with customers
? Allocating and recording resources and movements on the transport planning system
? Communicating effectively with customers and responding to their requirements
? Ensuring they deliver within agreed terms
? Directing all transportation activities
? Developing transportation relationships
? Program strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, budgets, and overall needs
? Tracking, anticipating, and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance;
