Katch Kan is seeking a Business Development Specialist for the MEA (Middle East, Africa) Region to develop and maintain business relationships with a targeted set of operators and contractors in the oil and gas industry Based in Bahrain, you will focus on top-line growth for the Region by driving and coordinating the sales and customer support efforts You will lead product introductions across specific regional accounts and increase Katch Kan s profile and brand in the marketplaceAs the business grows, you will be responsible for developing long-term business relationships and long-term contracts which will allow Katch Kan to invest in local support services (local technicians, warehousing, etc) in support of Katch Kan s goal of securing a dominant position in the MEA regionEssential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for developing & achieving Katch Kan s sales targets for the MEA region, primarily through market share growth Perform key account planning to identify and develop new business opportunities and revenues from both new and existing accounts Execute sales strategies to address specific customer needs in the MEA region Develop and present relevant business proposals for customers Develop a solid understanding of the customer s business, technical environment, challenges, and other relevant information to assist in promoting Katch Kan s products & services Track industry trends with respect to market development, projects, competitive activity, customers, etc Maintain & grow relations with current key customers and build effective relations with new customers Provide customer feedback for the benefit of other stakeholder departments; R&D, Operations, Product Management and Senior Management Coordinate and communicate openly with Katch Kan Management and Operations personnel When appropriate, represent Katch Kan within appropriate industry and professional organizationsLanguage - Fluent English, minimum basic ArabicTravel - Must be able to travel to Middle Eastern countries without needing additional travel VISA (Egypt, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait)Experience - Economic background, experience working with Chamber of Commerce or other trade association a plus Three plus years of experience in technical sales in the upstream (drilling) Oil and Gas industry; international experience is preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities - Professional, creative and dynamic presence and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within an organization Demonstrated experience in both a long sales cycle and a long-term relationship-based business environment Ability to work and be successful in an unstructured environment Strong technical knowledge and aptitude with excellent computer skills Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to clearly convey technical information Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines Strong interpersonal skills Team oriented and a collaborative work style Keen intelligence and negotiation skills Customer focused with strong attention to detail and quality Familiarity with oil and gas industry operations as well as industry software and hardware is desirableLocationThis position will be officed in the Katch Kan Bahrain locationTravel RequirementsAs the primary objective of this role is to promote Katch Kan throughout the region, extensive travel throughout the Middle Eastern, African countries will be required Overnight travel of 45% to 55% should be expected
