DESCRIPTIONWould you like to influence cloud computing adoption in Education in EMEA? Would you like help shape the team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services by engaging with Education organizations (EdTech, K-12, Post Secondary, Publishers) who are reinventing their IT strategy by adopting cloud computing?Do you have the business savvy, Education industry experience and the technical background necessary to help further establish Amazon as a leading cloud platform provider?Join us as the Head of Education, EMEA within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Focusing on the education markets across multiple and varied regions you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Amazon s utility computing web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon SimpleDB, Amazon RDS, etc)Roles and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include leading the development of the EMEA education sales, marketing, and Industry strategy, driving executive, business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new business in those markets, and enabling the regional field team to drive the day-to-day interactions with prospects in order to build long-term business opportunityYou ll also develop strategies with the productservice teams to help them evolve the productsservices and address requirements and issues from the fieldDevelop the AWS education market segments, customer base, and partner ecosystem in EMEASet a strategic account management and marketing plan for target markets and ensure it is in line with the AWS strategic directionExecute the strategic plan working with key internal stakeholders (eg global EDU team, account management teams, service teams, legal, support, etc)Identify new markets, segments, prospects and partners while communicating the specific value proposition for their business and use caseEnable the Education region teams to fill the pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customersUnderstand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product and solution offeringsUnderstand and exploit the use of salesforcecom and other internal Amazon systemsPrepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new customersDevelop long-term strategic partnerships in support of our key marketsHandle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market
