Position OverviewThe primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Coordinator is to manage end-to-end upstream supply chain including but not limited to sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, logistics, supplier quality assurance and supplier payments The Supply Chain Coordinator will develop effective procurement system ensuring timely materials procurement to meeting client dispatch need datesKey ResponsibilitiesSourcing and NegotiationClosely working with Engineering and after going through the drawings, BOM, 3D models, Technical specifications, and Standards Should be aware with standards ie EN 15085-2, EN 45545-2Responsible for complete sourcing, supplier hunt; RFQ; technical, quality and commercials negotiations; comparative statements, terms and conditions agreements, part development till successful FAI, delivery agreements and PO placementKey job to ensure have best source, cost down, least lead time, and payment termPurchasing and ExpeditingPO Placement and tracking till closurePreparing delivery schedule meeting client need dateFollow-up with suppliers to confirm receipt of open purchase orders, negotiate manufacturing time to achieve least lead time and monitors the promised date to deliver and ensure materials availabilityFollow-up with suppliers on backorders and notify operations of impacts to project ship datesCommunicate with suppliers when purchase orders are due to be received to ensure they are on trackReview suppliers invoices with errors, coordinate a quick resolution, ensure Suppliers accounts reconciled, and supplier s paymentsMaintain a supplier evaluation system and coordinate with vendors to help improve their performanceKey Job to ensure materials availability as per client need dateSupplier Quality AssuranceCoordinate QA inspection of purchased parts and services as requiredCoordinate with vendors in the event of an issue with quality, raise nonconformance report and ensure timely closureCoordinate with local supplier if minor repair can resolve the quality issue and ensure to charge back with original international supplierKey job to ensure timely containment action on rejection and good materials availabilityLogisticsSend RFQ to forwarders and courier agencies, negotiate and finalize the best ratesNominate the shipment and closely track imports consignment movements as per plansArranging documents and coordinate with custom agents for imports custom clearanceEnsuring custom cleared shipments reaches to storesKey job to ensure moving shipment timely and have close tracking on shipment movementTechnical Skill RequirementEducationBE (Mechanical) with diplomacertification in supply chain or B Tech (Mechanical) with MBA in supply chainExperiencePrevious experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistics, and materials management 5 yearsPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment 3 yearsShould have international exposure especially dealing with European suppliersPrevious experience in inventory planning, scheduling, ordering and materials managementProven cost control achievementsSkillsUnderstanding of manufacturing practicesUnderstanding of fabrication processesExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsHighly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detailStrong organizational skillsAble to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentAbility to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentSoftwareStrong hands-on knowledge of PC operating systemsMicrosoft Office Suite specifically Outlook, Word, and ExcelPrevious experience with Catia, CRM, ERP, PDM
