Banquet Sales Manager Whats your passion Whether youre into football, music or skiing at IHG were interested in YOU At IHG we employ people who apply the same amount of care and passion to their jobs as they do their hobbies - people who put our guests at the heart of everything they do And were looking for more people like this to join our friendly and professional team The Crowne Plaza Kuwait is a five star deluxe international hotel offering 329 spacious rooms and suites with a variety of amenities and individual outstanding services having 8 international restaurants, 24 hours fitness centre, comprehensive range of well-appointed meeting rooms, conference facilities and banquet halls, and its newly opened Spa Aquatonic Crowne Plaza Kuwait has been recognized several times for excellence and recognized as one of the leading hotels in the Gulf Region As the Banquet Sales Manager, you will manage and direct the successful co-ordination of conference business and events, enquiries and bookings You will maximise all revenue opportunities through execution of all sales strategies You will also be responsible for managing and motivating your team You will be required to ensure that all staff within your department are adequately trained and developed in line with company policy Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Convention Sales, maximizes business opportunities, ensures effective communications with clients and ensures coordination with departments concerned Ensures prompt, efficient and friendly service to all guests at all times You will actively guide and direct the whole team to ensure consistency of brand standards and a high level of performance and service delivery This is a large hotel boasting state of the art conference and catering facilities, world class restaurants and first class guest rooms Reporting directly into the Director of Convention Sales, this role is an integral part of the Sales team You will be directly responsible for the strategic planning, design and development of event plans which will maximise revenue and profit opportunities for the organisation You will be a creative individual with the ability to focus on innovative and new approaches to business and key events You will be the pivotal point of contact between Sales and Operations so you will well versed in building and managing key relationships both internally and externally You will help drive and develop new and existing business for the hotel, supporting the team in all market segments This position requires three years supervisory experience In return well give you a generous financial and benefits package including healthcare support, pension scheme, fitness club membership, hotel discounts worldwide, access to a wide variety of discount schemes and the chance to work with a great team of people Most importantly, well give you the room to be yourself At IHG we are committed to developing our team and managing our talent and would encourage internal as well as external candidates to apply for any of our vacancies So whats your passion Please get in touch and tell us how you could bring your individual skills to IHG We are an equal opportunities employer
