Job Purpose
Assist the HSSEQ department in ensuring that all activities of Fleet operations are conducted in a manner that is environmentally compatible, healthy, provides safe working conditions, and maintains safe and efficient operating practices that fully comply with company national and international regulations and standards.
Assist the Designated Person Ashore and Company Security Officer in monitoring safety and security management on all UASC owned / controlled vessels, andImplementing and maintaining efficient, effective and compliant HSSEQ relevant manuals, procedures and documents.
Job Responsibilities
Assist and support the Designated Person Ashore & Company Security Officer in monitoring various functions related to safety, security and environment protection to ensure that fleet vessels operate to a high marine safety, environmental & quality standard.
Assist the Designated Person Ashore for verification of optimum performance of ships and critical/ important machinery and equipment, to maintain a statistical data on performance of the same and of investigation on root cause analysis and that preventive measures are implemented through ship audits.
Assist the Designated Person Ashore in preparing a presentation to the Management Review Committee on implantation status on Safety & Environment Policy and company's SMS.
Assist the Designated Person Ashore in monitoring that non- conformities, under-performance and deficiencies in ship operations are investigated for root cause and that preventive measures are adopted safe operation of each ship continual improvement of quality of performance.
Assist in compliance to ISO / ISM Code requirements including Development of SMS and related Certification, assist in monitoring that adequate and prompt support is provided to each vessel at the time of emergencies, breakdown of critical equipment, PSC inspections and on safety/environment protection issues.
Assist the Designated Person Ashore and Company Security Officer in maintaining ISO / ISM / ISPS certification and arrangement of Internal /External audits of ship and office.
Maintain Records of Internal / External Audit Reports and verify / handle issues related to corrective action and prevention.
