Job Description

KEY RELATIONSHIPS & DECISION MAKING

Team working, Coaching Development & Leadership (Coaching & Leadership applicable to people managers)

* Form cross functional relationships with all relevant departments to ensure their understanding of their role in working together to ensure business planning process is completed on time and that effective monitoring can be undertaken to ensure the plan is executed .

Communicating, negotiating & influencing
Communicates with:

* All relevant departments within the unit to ensure the provision of timely, accurate and useful data
* the Business Planning & Financial Reporting team to share information seek guidance etc
* Other departments in the BU to ensure exchange of relevant data
* The Business Planning Head, to provide relevant progress reports and to discuss any major concerns

Decision Making
Determines Independently:

* Day to day decisions pertaining to own work area

* Business recommendations based on all relevant data findings

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI) - (To measure and monitor the performance of the role in the context of the Section Department's activities)

* Internal customer satisfaction
* Business Plans developed on time to the required standard across the BU
* Timely preparation of the Annual Budget
* Timely reporting of BU Scorecard

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

* 8 years of work experience
* At least 5 years experience working in a large organization, preferably with a telecom operator.
* At least 2years experience in a business planning role.
* Experience in data gathering projecting planning and interpreting achievability
* Solid understanding of the telecoms industry, business unit and of drivers of business

Minimum Entry Qualifications

* A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a similar field.

* Ability to undertake business performance forecasting skills
* Proven analytical and numerical skills.
