Job Description

Channel Specialist, Doha, Qatar The Electrification Products division offers low- and medium-voltage electrical installations, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation, switchgear, measuring and sensing devices, control products, including KNX systems designed to integrate and automate a buildings lighting, ventilation, heating, and security, wiring accessories, enclosures and cabling systems, data communication networks, and power protection. In this role, you will be responsible for sales of products/systems/services within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities. Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience) Tasks: 1. Volume and profit: Sell products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned business units/product groups. 2. Customer relations: Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. 3. Sales plans: Prepare sales plans using company tools. Perform regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls. 4. Sales: Create added value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicate details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
Negotiation - Contribute in critical sales and key frame agreements negotiations. Support channel specialist in the offering and proposal process for channel partners.
Customer relations - Support driving strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with partners, customers and other decision makers. 5. New market opportunities: Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration. 6. Administration: Manage administrative procedures in sales processes, and support collection and project management activities when needed. 7. Offer preparation: Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions. Requirements: Ideally you should have a Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience in Central Battery System (AC/AC), Exit & Emergency Lights, Hazardous Light Fixtures, BS/EN Standards (2008 & 2014) & market knowledge of Qatar with strong customer relationship.
Central Battery System with AC/DC knowledge will be added advantage. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills. Should be a team player with capabilities to work within multiple layers of organization.Good influencing skills to achieve business results by effectively working with local sales teams.
