Job Description

Operational Responsibilities Work under the general supervision of Vice President - Fire & Rescue and be responsible for administrative work in planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the fire training activities of the Fire Department Attend meetings and update department personnel on training-related matters Develop, deliver, and evaluate basic and advanced fire training courses for members of the Department Plan, direct, and develop certification processes and programs Conducts studies to determine new or revised training needs Coordinate and track certifications and/or re-certifications of staff as required by statute Provides guidance, consultation and assistance in training and employee development Establishes and maintains timetable, including look-ahead scheduling of training programs Maintains records for training and safety, including lesson plan creation and filing course rosters, etc. Conduct and coordinate all the training activities of Fire Dept on day-to-day basis (the medium of instructions being in Arabic & English) Explain where each of the following methods should be used and describe the relative values of each method:
o Conference, Discussion, Demonstration, Illustration, Lecture, Group Discussion, Computer Aided Instruction & Individualized instruction Prepare instructional materials such as Overhead transparencies, Charts, Diagrams, Information sheets & Student worksheets Identify sources of reference materials required for the development of a training instructor lesson plan Perform operational duties involving fire fighting & rescue and supervising fire fighting & ambulance personnel in shifts in the event of an emergency
