Job Description

JOB PURPOSEManage one or more strategic planning, corporate & functional strategies, and performance management (PM) engagements or components of large-scale PM projects of moderate complexity. Provide technical knowledge in strategic planning, PM and BSCs, coaching and training to junior team members. Ensure effective engagement management by achieving the required realization, revenue and profitability targets. May participate in day-to-day management of team on engagements including coaching, providing constructive feedback and performance development. This role also has an increased focus on business development and building networks.Key ResponsibilitiesEngagement and Project Delivery- Manage one or more Performance Management client engagements of moderate complexity independently consulting with Partners/Directors as appropriate.- Develop strategy-maps and Balanced Scorecards in line with the clients strategic plans and objectives.- Clear understanding of core processes of any Strategy Management Function (i.e. SMO, OSM, VRO) covering the key processes of strategy updates/refresh, strategic initiatives management, strategic planning, performance reporting & review, strategy communication, and budget alignment.- Support efforts to identify the sources of the information and data necessary to performance management processes, and determine the best methods of data collection, organization and analysis.- Prepare all forms for the assessment of performance management.- Update and amend Balanced Scorecards and KPIs in accordance with the changes and amendments to clients strategy.- Identify needed resources, assign responsibilities and develop timeframes to facilitate successful completion of activities and deliverables.- Identify and assess pros and cons of possible alternatives and select and develop the most appropriate solution for the client.- Preserve professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance of self and project team at all times.- Foster an environment of continuous learning and development for self and others.- Support practice development efforts through training delivery and sharing project lessons learned.- Keep senior team members informed of significant developments and progress on the engagement.- Manage team of consultants to deliver and present high-quality results on time to the client.Project & Quality Management and client relationship- Manage commercial aspects of an engagement to achieve desired levels of quality and profitability; including expected utilization and productivity targets.- Develop and maintain external networks, including peers in other organizations, KPMG alumni, global contacts, social contacts and existing clients.- Use knowledge of KPMG s broad service offerings to generate new business opportunities.- Communicate risks and issues early to Leaders as appropriate.- Contribute towards creating innovative and repeatable solutions, which strengthen business performance and differentiate KPMG from our competition.- Anticipate current and future needs of the firm based on extensive research and deep understanding of client business/industry.- Hold review (s) on completion of projects to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and commercial planning.- Work on Career Planning Development to maintain professional status/accreditation.People Management Responsibilities- Identify development needs of team and provides coaching, mentoring and stretch assignments to attract, develop and retain our most talented colleagues.- Plan and seek opportunities to allocate team members responsibilities that will enable them to learn new skills that align to their goals.- Meet KPMG deadlines throughout the Performance Development cycle for self and team [if Performance Manager] including; seeking quality feedback, goal-setting, providing input into engagement/project reviews, cascading own goals and regular conversations with apraisees and team members, to a standard expected under Open Performance Development.- Effectively support and manage underperformance in line with local guidance and policies.- Take action to ensure wellbeing matters are properly handled and resolved by and escalates as appropriate.- Ensure team accurately charge time to Engagement codes to see true value of work delivered and to recognize individual/team effort.- Build constructive working relationships across different teams and countries. Share internal networks with others to support an understanding the breadth of capabilities at KPMG.- Share knowledge with other KPMG colleagues/teams and contributes to the development of knowledge resources.- Manage on boarding of new starters.Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by direct supervisor to meet objectives.Qualifications- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any related discipline.Professional Certifications Preferred- Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP) Preferable.- Key Performance Indicator Professional Certification Preferable.Years of Experience- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 - 4 years in a similar role.Nature of Experience- Experience in strategic planning, initiatives portfolio, organizational transformation, corporate strategy, project management and management consulting.- Big-4 experience.Job Specific Skills- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with professionals at all levels.- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.- KPIs & targets settings and process modelling.- Written and verbal communication, presentation and persuasion skills.- Project management skills.- Excellent business acumen & analytical skills.- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.- Strong work ethic and must be proactive/self-starter.- Ability to engage in and enrich discussions, problem solving, and strategic planning.Business Language Skills- Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English essential.
