Job Description

Key Purpose of the Role:The role holder has the general responsibility of giving design inputs, putting together the low level designs where necessary and hand&holding developers technically when required and ensuring that the code . The role holder will also need to ensure that any defects are addressed appropriately.Responsibilities:To provide Design & design support for the stories of multiple releases for a product lineTo agree on Interface contracts with other componentsTo ensure completion of development & testing within the stipulated timelinesTo ensure code qualityBusiness Impact:Impact is in providing scalable designs for the business requirements at low cost and good qualityAuthority/Decision Making:Makes/signs off all design decisions which are within scope of Openreach Siebel applications, in concurrence with the Architects and Design Leads.No relocation will be provided.

Person Specification:Essential Skills (Skills without which the person cannot perform the role, limit to a maximum of four skills only ). Must have 4 years experience in IT development. Must have experience on one full Siebel project life cycle. Good communication skillsOverall Skills and Experience (Include skills that in addition to the essential skills are required for the person to perform the role in a better way )Technical o Siebel Configuration, Scripting, Siebel Performance Tuningo Siebel Workflows, Business Services, Runtime Events, Data Validation Management.o Web Services, EBC, VBC, IO, Data Mapper.o Experience with Siebel upgrade projects would be a value add.Functional/others o Telecom Functional Experience on OSS /BSS systems.o Expertise in Siebel functional areas like Siebel Order Management, Assurance, eConsumer, Saleso Siebel 7.7 to 8.1 upgrade experiences would be a value add.o Some amount of prior experience in leading a small teamQualifications: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience.Must have experience on one full Siebel project life cycle.
