Partner with Corporate teams (i.e., Compliance, Benefits, Compensation, Training & Development, Employee Services), as they relate to the Middle East and Africa regions, on topics such as:

o employee communications, including: policies and procedures; holidays; announcements; etc.;

EDUCATION:
BA/BS degree required. MBA with HR Management specialization preferred

Weatherford entities in GCC Countries are going to be VAT registered in 2018 and Weatherford is seeking a UAE & KSA Indirect Taxes Manager to join the Tax team in managing several aspects of VAT implementation in GCC Countries in 2018.
Reporting to the Global VAT Manager, the UAE & KSA Indirect Taxes Manager shall be based in UAE, Dubai and will closely work with IT, Legal, Controllers, Sales and Procurement departments across the GCC Countries.
Main responsibilities will include but will not limited to:
•work together with the Global VAT Manager for the correct implementation and management of VAT in the UAE & KSA;
•be the point of contact between the business and the Tax department for VAT related questions;
•support Global VAT Manager with customers disputes when/if they arise
•preliminary review the agreements, facts, and scenarios for taxability decision;
•develop and timely update a VAT taxability matrix;
•make the business fully aware of Regulation guidelines. Update them when new/significant requirements will be published;
•support entities VAT Finance Representatives in answering users questions regarding VAT taxability;
•support entities VAT representatives with monthly VAT compliance activities:
•preparation of draft VAT returns;
•spot checks on large transactions;
•review of draft VAT returns;
•timely submission of VAT Returns and payment of due VAT.
•ensure that supporting documentation for VAT Returns is properly archived;
•support Global VAT manager in case of VAT audits.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
•Degree qualified
•10 years demonstrable experience in Indirect Taxes
•Basic understanding of EU VAT principles

•Public/private accounting experience (preferably in house for a large multi-national company/companies) with CIMA ,ACCA, ACA or similar credentials preferred
