PartA Job SpecificationJob PurposeThe Civil Engineering Head is responsible for all project activities related to civil engineering He will steward civil engineering activities to ensure quality and timely delivery of civil engineering scope Drive the EPC contractor by providing clear guidance and facilitating resolution to issues to complete civil engineering activitiesKey Job Accountabilities1Job PurposeThe Civil Engineer Head is responsible for overseeing the EPC Contractor s activities for the design, integration and testing of the NFE Onshore Project Civil engineering deliverables in accordance with the Project Specifications and EPC Contract requirements The position is responsible for the following activities1) Stewards all phases of Civil engineering and ensures that the Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost objectives of the project are met within hisher area of responsibility2) Coordinates civil input to multi-discipline activities to ensure equipment packages with civil scope designed are designed well and in time3) Delivers quality civil engineering work products in a timely manner to support construction activities and eventually pre-commissioningcommissioning of civil scopes4) Supports Operations during the Start-up of Civil Systems;5) Provides leadership, mentoring, coaching and career development opportunities to direct reports2Blank3Key Result AreasDuties include, but are not limited toLeads NFE Onshore Project Team s successful execution of Civil requirements throughout project lifeDrives the EPC Contractor s Civil deliverables in accordance with the Project Specifications and the Engineering Surveillance PlanDemonstrates ability to plan and schedule work (short term and long term) and ensures execution of work plan by sub-ordinatesCoordinates Civil technical support for procurement, quality, testing and construction activitiesProvides technical advisory support to the NFE Onshore Project Engineering Manager on Civil system design issuesSupports risk management activities as required Provide overall Civil engineering technical leadership and expertiseParticipates in Civil technical specification review and approvalPerforms timely review of specifications and documentation to ensure that project schedules are maintainedStewards EPC contractors activities with respect to Civil including- Detail Civil engineering- Development and design of the Civil system- Development of the schedule, recommended deliverables, and labour hour estimate for Civil System- Adherence to engineering and quality surveillance plans including interfacing with Company s Vendor Quality Surveillance Engineer- Measurement and reporting of physical progress- Selection, specification, and inspection of civil components- Procurement of Civil bid evaluations, bid tabulations, bid recommendations, etcReviews, evaluates and advises the NFE Onshore Project Team and Operating Company staff concerning- Civil specifications- Compliance with design methods and safety and security factors to be used in design of project- Technical bid tabulations for Civil systemsAssists NFE Onshore Project Team in meeting QGPMS expectations as requiredProvides support to implementation of agreed lessons learnedSupport implementation of vendor documentation requirements and spare parts requirements4Operating Environment, Framework and BoundariesWorks in a project environment in which the incumbent strives to achieve best in class Safety, Health, Environmental & Security performance by creating a culture that encourages everyone to perform their best every day on every taskWorks in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressuresWorks effectively within established policies and procedures and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needsWorks in a dynamic team environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skillsDemonstrates willingness to tackle a variety of tasks in response to evolving business needs5Communications and Working RelationshipsInterfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaborationInteracts effectively with NFE Onshore Project Team and external stakeholdersExhibits team skills, integrity, self-confidence, fairnessDemonstrates the highest level of integrity in dealings with all partiesEffective team player who collaborates well with othersCommunicates concisely in verbal and written context;
