Job Description

4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or related field 6+ years’ experience in overseeing the development & negotiation of contracts & bid specifications, managing the bid opening, awarding & executing contracts and preferably 2 years in steel industry A Juris Doctor (JD) degree, certification as a Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) an advantage Experience as a purchasing agent or buyer Knowledge of contract preparation, administration or procurement in the areas of construction, architectureengineering and other professional technical services in a large complex company Experience in the development of procurement & contract policies, procedure & process changes and modification of contracts

Desired Candidate Profile

Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.. Possess strong customer service skills, excellent organization skills and ability to negotiate with clients. . Possess ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple on going tasks.. Possess good time management, analytical, data collection and entry skills. . Proficient in the use of MS Office, ERP (preferably Oracle), and other common desktop computer utilities.. Good communication skills in English (oral and written).. Office environment, subject to stress caused by changing tasks, tight deadlines & heavy workload and some travel required.
