Job Description

1 Develop & implement the standard costing system
2 Incorporate Bill of Material (BOM) in system based on the information provided by Production Department
3 Review & updated BOM periodically for changes in consultation with Production Department
4 Review & monitor production orders made at different production stages for verification as per BOM and variance should be investigated immediately
5 Close production orders in timely basis
6 Keep track of raw material price changes
7 Maintain proper job order standard costing system
8 Manage timely monthly closing and reporting process related to manufacturing accounting and costing
9 Ensure that inventories are accurately valued
10 Coordinate with production department for an effective cycle count program to ensure accuracy of perpetual inventories
11 Plan, coordinate and lead periodic physical count of inventory
12 Conduct slow moving and obsolete inventory analysis and recommend provision in compliance with the company policy
13 Establish re-order levels and economic order quantity (EOQ) for key raw materials
14 Ensure to keep optimum inventory levels for effective working capital management
15 Closely monitor the Actual waste of materials & report any major variance immediately
16 Provide Financial analysis and insight into the following areas
Product Costs
Product Gross Margin
Customer Gross Margin
Operational Costs (Labors & Overhead)
Materials Variances (Quantity, Usage and Price)
Capacity Utilization
Operational Cost Variances
Fixed and Variable cost analysis for break even point
17 Work with Finance Manager to support the preparation of annual operating budget of the company
18 Work with Sales Marketing department to provide accurate financial analysis for pricing of different products
19 Work closely with IT Department to ensure effective costing system
