Role SummaryPurposeAs a Heavy Duty Gas Turbine Field Service Engineer You will be an expert in Gas Turbines, focused on site activities management such as planning, manpower resourcestools assignment and technical assistance to complete the work scope according to the contractual requirementsEssential ResponsibilitiesShall be able to perform these tasks in autonomyUnloading and Inspection of the gas turbine major auxiliaries at the installation site and their placement on the foundationGeometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment and auxiliaries skids positioning, levelling (ensure levelness and elevations of subsole plates and perform contact checks between subsole plates and package supports) and alignmentInstallation and assembling activities of gas turbine and auxiliary equipment such as oil console, air system, interconnection piping, coolers, structure, ducts, oil flushing, blowing, etcPerform lube oil and cooling water systems flushes as per GE recommended proceduresEnsure all gas piping and orifices are correctly installed for each piping systemMark-up all piping drawings to show piping modificationsInstall inlet and exhaust systems per GE Vendor specificationsPre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, air systemAdvise on interpretation of GE drawings for installation optimisationWork closely with Instrumentation Engineer during the installation, calibration and set-up electrical instrumentation (such as vibration probes, temperature elements, servo actuators calibration, etc)Check-out and initial operation of base mounted gas turbine starting meansLock-out and Tag-outEquipment start-up, diagnostic and troubleshootingBoroscope inspectionWater wash procedureCombustion inspectionHot Gas Path InspectionMajor inspection, see TTS__ Service Note of TAs Tech Support for detailed task listPerform small mechanical repairs at machining tools in the workshopQualificationsRequirementsEngineering Degree or equivalent business experience Minimum 5 years of related working experience in Oil and Gas industry within maintenance or installation field activities on Gas Turbines Strong knowledge of Gas Turbines on installationmaintenance Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawings (section dwg; construction dwg; P&ID; alignment specification, flushingblowing procedure; piping specification; etc) Excellent English fluency both spoken and written Availability to travel frequently to on and off-shore sites Strong analytic and problem solving skills together with good interpersonal and organizational skillsDesired CharacteristicsGood attitude to manage relationships with customer concerning technical and contractual aspectsworking knowledge and application of EHS rulesStrong Knowledge on Maintenance (Major Inspections) of GE Gas Turbines FrDs and 6BsEffective communication to HQs, through company e-tools (NCM, e-SMS) FEP program graduate is preferred (internal GE employees only) Strong project management skills Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
