Division SA PL Engineering Div Position Description DREAM BIG As one of the worlds largest fully integrated energy enterprises, Saudi Aramco not only looks for individuals who can meet our expectations but for those individuals who can exceed them Our intent is to become the worlds leading integrated energy company by 2020, and to accomplish our goals, we want and encourage you, to Dream Big The professional rewards at Saudi Aramco are amazing, but so too are the lifestyle and benefits We are currently seeking an experienced [Mechanical Engineer] to join the Southern Area Pipelines Engineering Division, Saudi Arabia The Southern Area Pipelines Department is responsible of all hydrocarbon pipelines networks in the Southern Area The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, engineering, and support for a variety of mechanical systems including hydrocarbon pipelines systems, storage tanks, valves, pipeline protection systems, metering systems, and a variety of process instrumentations devices The successful candidate must have the ability to perform engineering and design functions for typical and complex pipeline pumping, compressor stations, liquid and gas storage, plant and metering facilities in accordance with industry codes Previous engineering experience, with detailed design and feasibility studies is advantageous Candidates will have a solid understanding and working knowledge of standard drawings, such as PIDs, process flow diagrams, equipment and piping Minimum Requirements EDUCATION BS in Engineering EXPERIENCE Seven (7) years of experience, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry Duties & Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis and engineering of pipeline projects, in cooperation with the other resources to assure the integrity of company assets including static equipment, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and pipeline and platform structures on a continuing basis Provide input to field plan development on pipelines review third party inspection activities on pressure vessels, piping, tanks, pipelines and platform structures Prepare the risk profile for the assets, which summarize performance and identified risks together with processes for their management Conduct regular meetings with plant engineers to ensure correct risk-ranking of all anomalies, pipeline and piping failures, and monitor corrective actions You will assist the project engineers, responsible for the guidance, support, implementation and monitoring of integrity related issues and activities as required optimizing the facilities; consult with projects and new developments with the goal to ensure appropriate design integrity is delivered by the projects to operations for new pipelines; review and analyze for integrated pipelines Provide day-to-day integrity engineering and failure analysis support directly to the Engineering Team and indirectly to Operations, Maintenance, and other Operations Support Groups Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer generated reports Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs Assist installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications
