Key Responsibilities Develop packaging structural solutions across a range of projects and be responsible for checking and approval of all pilot samples Commission checks and obtain approval for packaging artwork Ensure all technical and marketing issues are resolved and artwork budgets are monitored Organize and oversee production trials to ensure the suitability of finished goods Carry out appropriate stability testing to ensure functionality and durability of packaging Prepare packaging specifications, bills of materials and packaging instructions Maintain up to date knowledge of technical developments and trends in packaging Maintain up to date knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements pertaining to packaging of the company’s productsTechnical Ability Transformation of visualized conceptsdesigns in the form of sketches (assembled form as well as component wise) by making use of auto desk package Creating manufacturing drawing using software and providing material specification for prototypemould development for the designs approved Preparing DBOM (design bill of material) detail drawing for manufacturing process Review of prototypesdummiesinitial development samples for filling and assembly checks in coordination with QC Gathering information on various technical parameters and flow properties of plastic materialssteels Designing the secondary packaging in such a fashion that it suits the bottle shape and can be placed easily To ensure that the material used is most cost effective and comparable to market pricing trends Solving packaging problems in consultation with technical staff Taking into account environmental considerations, such as biodegradability or recycling opportunities
