Job Description

JOB SUMMARYPurposeTo take data and turn it into meaningful information for all business units and associated business areas in relation to the Fuel Station program of work This will include forward planning and live operationsMaking clear recommendations with regard to business decisions and directionScenario Planning for future financial evaluationsProvide daily, weekly, monthly and annual business analytics for c-store and Fuel Stations business unit performanceProvide analytical support to the Network Planning Manager for new Fuel Station proposalsWork closely with Finance to ensure they have an up to date and clear understanding for the background and rationale for the annual budgeting process, monthly P&L preparation and post publication analysisKeeping the tenant bidding database up to date for QSRs, Coffee Drive Thrus and ATM machines at fuel stations Act as a conduit of communication when new to industry food units and ATMs go on the marketPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESConvenience StoresTop Line and Bottom Line Analysis and ReportingExpense control AnalysisActual vs Forecast ReportingWaste Management guidelines to store teamMonthly incentive calculationDaily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual sales, cost and expense reports for business performanceMonthly Business ReviewObtain raw data, make analysis and provide recommendations to increase sales, reduce costs and expensesCompile annual budget as per management guidelinesLiaison between IT and finance to make sure that systems eg NAV LS Retail & Spaceman are effectively implemented and fit for purpose for the businessQSRsKeep tenant database up to dateKeep tenant offers up to dateCommunicate with tenants to provide them required information related to available units at Petromin fuel stationsMake reports for management review for tenant communicationFuel StationsTop Line and Bottom Line Analysis and ReportingExpense Control AnalysisActual vs Forecast ReportingDaily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual sales, cost and expense report for business performanceMonthly Business ReviewCompile annual budget as per management guidelinesAsset Management, Cash Flow Analysis and Inventory AnalysisTake all financial reports from finance and provide appropriate analysis accordinglyScenario planning for P&L, capital and depreciation calculation for all stations in pipelineAnalyze sales, cost and expenses for business units at existing stationsCompile overall budget for fuel stations after seeking inputs from Business UnitsProvide required P&L information to finance before they publish the P&L related to all the business unitsLiaison between finance and difference business units to make sure the P&L reporting is accrual based where requiredAudit the P&L published by finance as requiredAnalyze the P&L to assess business performance and provide recommendation to improve commercial performanceTrack historical KPIs for all business unitsJOB KNOWLEDGEAcademic Masters in Business AdministrationAdditional QualificationsFinance and IT literate with a high level of proficiency across the entire Microsoft office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)A high level of analytical consideration, and a can do will do attitude is essential and is part of the DNA of a Petromin employee as is the innate desire to exceed commercial targetsLanguage skillsExcellent communications skills in English - written and verbal
