Job Description

1      Management and supervision of all well testing activities on assigned well site

Take full responsibility for assigned vehicles, plant and equipment; their condition, job readiness, certification and repairsrefurbishment
Maintain suitable records and supporting documents for critical equipment This s shall include all pressure rated equipment, lifting and load bearing equipment, critical instrumentation, camp and office equipment, and vehicles
Maintain an up to date knowledge of specific Contract requirements relating to the maintenance, inspection, and operation of equipment assigned to the Well Test Unit
Maintain an up to date knowledge on Industry standards, and ensure that equipment maintenance and certification is in compliance
Provide management advice and support as required on all queries related to maintenance and repair to equipment assigned to the Well Test Unit
Take full responsibility for assigned crew, staff, and subcontractors; ensuring that this workforce is supervised, job ready, and briefed in all current issues
Directly responsible for the health and safety of the immediate workforce
Plan crew rosters and rotations such that onsite capability and efficiency is maintained; and Human Resource guidelines are maintained
Maintain good working relations and discipline among immediate workforce
Liaise with Catering supplier and oversee all camp and accommodation issues
Maintain suitable personnel records and supporting documents
Ensure new equipment and work methods are understood and executed in the correct manner
Maintain best practice andor good oilfield practice at all times
2      Generate well test reports; both customer and internal  Ensure that accuracy and time goals are reached; and maintain suitable records and supporting documents
3      Support and implement the company HSE policy in all well test operations

Act as the HSE focal-point for all onsite activities; by all workers, contractors, sub-contractors, visitors and the like; regardless of affiliation
Ensure compliance with the HSE requirements of secondary contractors when engaged on immediate work site
Chair and set agenda for all HSE drills, meetings and briefings
Continually monitor, review, challenge and improve work practices, MBClient procedures and HSE awareness
4      Liaise with client representatives on a daily basis and keep all relevant parties informed of current and upcoming work status
5      Provide advice and support as required requested to assist in the successful implementation of all contract associated activities for the MB Group
6      Support and implement the company’s training programme; and highlight perceived training requirements
·         Mentor and motivate junior staff within the competency assessment framework
Attend company formal skills training upon request 


HSE Responsibilities

·         The inclusion of HSE considerations when issuing day-to-day job instructions
·         Promptly responding to all reports of unsafe conditions, unsafe activities, accidents
      and near misses, which are received from subordinates and other persons
·         Taking prompt corrective action and advising management accordingly with regard to unsafe and unhealthy procedures, methods, facilities, equipment and substances
·         Encouraging personal HSE awareness among individual subordinates, the collect-
      ive workforce and any personnel subcontracted to MBPS
·         Adequately and promptly investigating and reporting all accidents and near misses
·         Ensuring that all work for which he has a supervisory responsibility, whether
      executed by MBPS employees or subcontractors, is carried out with full regard to
      the applicable HSE procedures
·         Personally confirming that all persons, whether MBPS or subcontractor employees,
      who are engaged in activities on facilities for which he has a supervisory     responsibility, are competent to safely execute the required work, and that th      applicable Operating and HSE Procedures are communicated, understood and in place
·         Advising his workforce and any other persons at risk, of any potential hazards
      arising from the work activities which fall within his supervisory scope
·         Ensuring that his subordinates and any MBPS subcontractors make correct use of personal protective clothing and equipment and that the equipment so used is
      suitably rated with consideration to the hazards involved
·         Ensuring that safety and emergency equipment is maintained in a safe operable condition and that such equipment is correctly used
·         Checking that all facilities, tools and equipment, in use within his area of supervisory responsibility are in a safe operable condition
·         Ensuring that any tools, equipment and vehicles, brought into his area of the Well Site operation by subcontractors, and intended for use on behalf of MBPS are in a safe operable condition
·         Holding regular HSE meetings with his workforce and, where applicable, other persons, such as contractors, subcontractors, third parties and visitors
·         Conducting regular inspections and audits of the facilities under his control in order to identify and eliminate hazards to health, safety and the environment
·         Participation in the follow-up and close-out of inspection and audit findings

Note that the above HSE responsibilities are applicable in the capacity as a Supervisor  As an Employee of MBPS, the Well Test Unit Supervisor must also familiarize with the HSE responsibilities of employees, as shown in the MBPS Employee Pocket Book Health, Safety and Environmental Protection - Policy, Responsibilities and Accident Prevention
