Division Med Pat ProcessingRecords Div Position Description As one of the worlds largest fully integrated energy enterprises, Saudi Aramco not only looks for individuals who can meet our expectations but for those individuals who can exceed them The professional rewards at Saudi Aramco are amazing, but so too are the lifestyle and benefits Saudi Aramcos Medical Services Organization (SAMSO) is actively seeking to recruit an experienced Sr Medical Records Technician The incumbent will provide work direction to staff in SAMSOs Medical Patient Processing and Records Division Minimum Requirements You will have an Associate degree or Certification in the field of Medical Record Technology or Health Record Information Management from an approved institute of higher learning You will hold certification as evidenced by having passed the examination given by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) (US), Health Information Management Association (HIMA) (AUST), or Institute of Health Records Information Management (IHRIM) (UK) and be an active member of one of the following AHIMA, HIMA (AUST), or IHRIM (UK) You will have proof of continuing education relevant to Health Information Management (HIM) per certifying organization requirements You will have seven years of experience, of which at least 2 years will be at a supervisory level You will possess a broad general knowledge in the field of medical record technology, with an emphasis on coding and abstracting, chart analysis and medical transcription You are required to have experience with abstracting and encoder software, preferably 3M HDM and Microsoft Office products You will also have a strong understanding of JCAHO standards Duties & Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following You will perform and direct daily processing functions of assembly, analysis, coding, etc You will be required to identify, evaluate and direct QI activities for coding and abstracting and monitor daily processing functions according to performance standards You will provide technical work direction and assistance to members of staff You will be required to ensure that equipment is fully functioning, and supplies and resources are present within the assigned work area You will assist medical and clinical staff in special studies, quality improvement reviews or research Other duties as assigned
