Division Abq Community Utilities Div Position Description The WaterWastewater Treatment Engineering Specialist provides support for Saudi Aramco Community Services water related operations (including raw water, drinking water, wastewater, and cooling systems water facilities) They will prepare design packages for small water and wastewater treatment facilities Use their design experience to support and review major water related projects You will provide troubleshooting services and provide support for innovative solutions to reduce water wastewater related operating costs Prepare and give presentations on water related subjects as required by management Serve as a mentor and resource for all Community Services engineers The WaterWastewater Treatment Specialist is responsible for undertaking complex technical projects related to water treatment that can affect present and future operations and maintenance of Saudi Aramcos facilities throughout the SACR Community Services areas In addition, you are responsible to meet work challenges and provide strong foundation in pumping and piping system design, wastewater treatment plant design, reverse osmosis plant design, raw (well) water facilities design, cooling tower water treatment, chilled water treatment, engineering economics and contracts planning and coordination Minimum Requirements Minimum 15 years water treatment related engineering experience, including at least six years solid experience in the design of wastewater treatment plants andor reverse osmosis water treatment plants Excellent writing and presentation skills in English Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (CivilSanitary), Environmental or Chemical Engineering from a recognized university Duties Responsibilities The incumbent will be required to do all of the duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer and in addition, the following A Coordinate maintenance programs with user units to determine relative priorities and on-time completion of work in critical operating facilities with available work force B Assign maintenance manpower within his assigned area to meet daily changes in operating requirements and priorities Recommend special work schedules, overtime or contractor participation to meet unusual or emergency situations C Plan assigned T&Is field-wide, analyse and sequence all work requests estimate required manpower, justifying when necessary requests for additional manpower, overtime or extension of unit downtime Assure that all details of material and equipment are available at jobsite On major T&Is, he may direct one or more Maintenance Engineers in accomplishing this phase of the work D Execute the actual work during a T&I period, coordinate activities of assigned craftsmen and such other personnel as are assigned (night shift coordination, etc) to assist in the execution of the work Incumbent may act as the day shift coordinator on T&Is or direct the activities of one or more Maintenance Engineer assigned to this phase of the work E Report to concerned Maintenance Supervisor on quality and quantity of workmanship and adherence to standards by the Maintenance Engineer and craftsmen within his assigned areas and recommend improved work methods Report on deviation from approved schedules and assist in the correction of such deviations F Review Project Proposals to assure that maintenance aspects are considered in final design G Coordinate maintenance work between Maintenance Divisions when services from various divisions are required H Perform special assignments as directed, utilizing his engineering knowledge and experience Such assignments may include work direction to one or more Maintenance Engineer IIIs Application of Maintenance Engineer II when specializing in Digital Maintenance Engineering Performs engineering analysis of real time, process control digital systems in central operations facilities to aid in fault diagnosis Evaluate maintenance activity on digital systems Provide professional level expertise to the solution of complex hardware problems Responsible, under the general direction of Superintendent in assigned Maintenance Division and with work direction from Maint Digital Systems Engineer I, for engineering support of scheduled and non- scheduled digital systems repair Systems are located in major processing plants (NGL, wet crude handling, refinery, gas plants, seawater treatment, power and crude desalting facilities)
