Job Summary

Currently, our COMRES MEA business has an open role for a Financial Controller This position is a key role within the Finance and Administration team of the business as it manages all aspects of financial auditing and reporting The role oversees day-to-day accounting functions preparing financial reports, handling tax matters and ensuring compliance with accepted policies and internal procedures The position extends itself specifically to 3 legal entities in MEA (Dubai, Saudi Arabia and South Africa) and includes some additional International Trade Compliance (ITC) responsibilities

What will be my responsibilities in this role

Financial Statements Preparation
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Review and analysis of Financial Statements and Balance Sheets

Audit & Internal Control
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Coordinate internal and external audit activities
Give guidance on and promote compliance with Corporate Policies & Procedures

Taxation
Monitor and support taxation issues
Prepare monthly VAT and WHT returns for submission to tax authorities (UAE, KSA and RSA)
Coordinate income tax returns preparation with tax advisors (KSA & RSA)

International Trade Compliance
Liaise with internal experts on ITC issues
Ensure adherence to and give guidance on ITC policies
Drive compliance with local, regional, and global international trade laws

Other Responsibilities
Collaborate and maintain relationship with internal and external parties
Cash Flow and Treasury Management of the business
Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis

What do I need to be considered for this role

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess a Degree in Business Management, Accountancy or Finance The possession of a Chartered Accounting Qualification would also be an added advantage although this is not mandatory requirement Your work experience should be a maximum of 5 years and this should have been specifically gained in the corporate office of a Multi-National Company You should be able to demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of audit, tax and compliance matters and be a competent user of a variety of Business System eg Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Excel etc You should have a great command of the English language, both written and orally The ability to speak and write in Arabic would be beneficial but not essential
