Duties and responsibilities

Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facilityLoading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraftMoving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facilityStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads are secureStacking empty palletsPerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery and lubricating equipmentRemoving machine attachments and waste material from machinesExamining products to verify conformance to quality standardsDumping materials into machine hoppers



Qualification requirements

High School diploma or equivalentGood math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be requiredHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollow instructions for operating equipment and keeping recordsExecute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerMaintain a clean & safe environmentClean driving recordForklift driving license
