Key Accountabilities Responsibilities
Develop and implement a supply chain strategy in line with the company’s strategic objectives
Lead and motivate Supply Chain teams to deliver an effective end to end supply chain function from buying to delivery and technical support
Develop and supervise the implementation of policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs) for all supply chain activities across the organization
Develop and implement departmental budgets and provide supporting evidence to explain budget variances
Set and cascade targets and key performance indicators for Supply Chain teams in line with agreed corporate objectives
Review, track and monitor performance of all supply chain activities
Ensure robust inventory control mechanism is in place across supply chain
Review departmental processes and maximize efficiencies through automation and resource utilization
Keep abreast of external environmental factors such as legislation, import export procedures, tariffs and duties, fuel costs, licenses and restrictions that may impact on supply chain activities and costs
Oversee purchasing activities and supplier payments to ensure they are in line with contractual terms
Work closely with Business Development in the sourcing and supplier selection
Work closely with Regional Sales to assess and make recommendations for entering into long term contracts with customers
Liaise with Business Development and Finance in establishing approved price lists
Ensure technical support in place is in line with Company policy
Set and agree individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance providing feedback on areas of achievement and development
Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years experience in a Supply Chain Management role
Automotive industry experience is preferred
