Transguard is currently looking for an Operations Manager- Transportation The role will be responsible for ensuring Transguards passenger transportation is operated in accordance with the BU requirements in deploying Transguard employees to and from work location on time and within budget costs As an Operations Manager- Transportation, you will work closely with business teams to deliver the highest possible level of service to Transguards internal customers

Additional responsibilities includes but not limited to

Defining and implementing policies and procedures for the Transport team

Managing daily operations ensuring drivers daily schedules are planned and optimized for efficiencies

Conducting continuous analysis of vehicles, drivers and schedule patterns to consolidate, improve and maximize usage of vehicles and resource in order to reduce transportation cost and recommend cost control measures

Managing the transport suppliers in providing transport services, quotes for new routes and adhoc requests

Managing transport risk register, which identifies any issues and vehicle risks that are reported by Transguard staff

Performing changes in working conditions and use of vehicles to increase efficiency of operations and operations teams

Assessing driver and staff performance, provide reports identifying their strength and areas of development

Ensuring drivers are trained to Transguard operating standards

Training appraising and motivating staff to ensure optimum performance and successful team management


REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following skills and experience,

Must have a Degree or equivalent Diploma

At least 7 years of industry experience with 2 to 3 years in a managerial role
