Job Description

Public Relations Officer OCN ( MID000116 )



The PRO is responsible to manage the daily operations in the UAE with regards to work visaslabor cards planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating all related operations as needed In this position he reports directly to the Host Nations Manager, Kuwait


Manage, perform, maintain, and coordinate the employees labor file with the Ministry of Social Affair and Labor

Manage and track on daily basis the creation, extension, expansion, reduction, validation and closure of labor file for all Project employees as per contract directives

Utilize a network that effectively facilitates the flow of required information to and from Local USA Government Agencies

Serves as the point of contact for the client, sponsors local UAE governmental agencies in relations to labor files, creations, submittal and extension as needed

Provide clear concise instructions and list of required documentation in order to verify programs slots availability on each labor file assigned

Assist with processing and coordinating both initial and renewal of the Legalization and Normalization of all immigration documents such as Labor file, Work permits, Civil IDs and residency visas in accordance with the UAE immigration office

Advises programs management team on procedures to protect all UAE government controlled documents (Work permit, labor card, Drivers Licenses)

Prepare reports to Local and Federal Agencies including changes affecting personnel and residency status

Review and approve the translation of official documents such as lease agreements, death certificates, and letter of Guarantee etc

Represent Vectrus in general with the UAE Government agencies, and serve as the point of contact in relations to labor file issues andor processing

Assistresponsible for the processing and repatriation of human remains

Manages employee official documents ensuring proper processing, storage and handling procedures are followed as described by the company

Interacts with government officials US or Foreign as required

Acts as a key advisor to management relating to interactions with the UAE Ministries and Government officials

Prepares Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions as required

Other duties as assigned


Personal Computer, printers, calculator, copy machines, scanners, FAX machines, phones and other general office equipment Operates non-tactical vehicles as required Must also demonstrate executive-level proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook


Indoor andor outdoor environment 48-hr work week

May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures - Up to 130 degrees in the summer months

Must be able to work overtime and evenings, as mission requires

Must have professional appearance consistent with local customs

Required to observe all safety, security, and health requirements for office, warehouse, and outside environment

Must be able to lift 25 lbs continuously, 50 lbs intermittently


Work require walking, standing up in line for long periods of time, ready to respond to emergency calls 247



EducationCertifications Associate Degree with 5 years experience in related field A Bachelor degree is preferred


Requires a degree in human resources, business administration, behavioral science or similar discipline, from an accredited college or university Suitable work experience may be considered


Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills, in a professional demeanor

Ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, is required

Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork, is required Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, with an ability to understand the effect of decisions overall in the company, is required

Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion is required

Ability to prioritize responsibilities, in order to handle a demanding workload, is required

Advanced ability to communicate in English both verbally and written Intermediate proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required

Ability to respond effectively both orally and in writing to inquiries or complaints

Ability to effectively articulate information to management

Ability to use independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives
