Job Description

Ensuring financial reporting of various projects as per standard practice to CFO
Review of project budget, projects latest forecast and also MIS reports on monthly basis and monthly financial analysis to identify & highlight areas that require immediate management attention due to weak controls and anticipated cost overrun
Participation in management meetings & supporting strategic and operational decision making through performance reporting and playing dual role of supporting the business and financial lead role
Action oriented discussions with CFO on monthly basis, key performance indicators, yearly business plans, evaluation of new projects proposals for profitability, cost control activities
Review periodically receivables, payables, advances, inventory, claims & recoveries etc Review of order back log, billing & collection numbers, margin analysis
Providing effective leadership to a finance team also providing necessary guidance training
Understanding the overheads structure and driving cost control strategies implementation
Ensure effective liaison with internal and external auditors and deal with financial irregularities and ensure compliance of relevant acts and conduct audit
Treasury Management
Ensuring the application of budgetary, internal controls compliance and documentary requirements over complete process in projects by reporting the projected inflows & outflows to ensure timely inflows as per terms of the contract so as to maintain positive cash-flow of the project
Report balance cost to complete every project well in time
Review and submit project budget to CFO before start of projects execution for approval
Compare and report on budgeted versus actual figures for each project on monthly basis
Ensures that all project finance milestones and performance measures are met
Closely monitor funds movement by focusing on timely generation of invoices, follow up and chasing receivables and administering payables
Operation of future and existing projects funds cash-flow while keeping financial charges at minimum
Ensure smooth operations of daily fund transactions, Project financing, Letter of Credit, LG, Bonds, leases and non-funded facilities with bank
Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks, reduce exposure to hazardous liability and ensure implementation of QHSE policy
Comply with all QAQC standards as applicable to the company systems, policies, procedures, and documents in order to deliver the expected quality of work
Experience in the design, set up and operation of business financial control processes in a professional services company, eg invoice, purchase order verification, expensebill passing, payroll management etc
Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by CFO
Education Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with experience in project Management
Experience Overall 20+ years experience out of which Gulf experience for at-least 10 years in engineering contracting company shall be preferable
