Job Description

Receive and process Material Requisitions (MR) from the Operations Team
Liase with co-ordinators and supervisors on all pending materials and logistical timelines
If material is available in the store, the Senior Storekeeper will issue the material against a MR by a Stores Issue Voucher (SIV) on the ERP system within 24hrs
If products are not available in the stores, the person will raise a Purchase Requisition (PR) for standard material and route the PR for approval as per the Delegation of Authority (DoA)
Upon completion of all approvals send the PR to the Procurement team for processing of a Purchase Order (PO) Follow up the PO
For non-standard material the person will obtain all specifications (manufacturer, part number, etc) and source quotations from relevant suppliers
If unable to source appropriate suppliers, the person will seek the assistance of the procurement team to source suppliers and then contact those suppliers
Upon receipt of quotations from the Suppliers, the person will raise a PR and route for approval with concerned DoA
In the event of specifications not being available, the person will obtain a sample from the operations team and invite suppliers to submit quotations
Once the PO is prepared and approved as per the DoA, receives a copy of the PO from the procurement team
Follow up with the suppliers for delivery of material
Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders and stores in the allocated area of the stores
Oversee physical transfer of material from the store site to other stores sites
Return all damaged material or non-compliant material to the Supplier
Updates the stock card for inquiries and monitor the availability of the materials
For material that is returned by the operations team after a job, post the Stores Return Voucher on ERP and store in the allocated area of the store
Prepare and execute a min max report for material in the store
Plan inventory PRs to be raised once every week such that there is no shortage of material in the stores
Inspects physical condition of warehouse & equipment and prepares work order for repairs requisitions for replacement of equipment
Ensures that all chemicals, paints, etc that need special handling is stored and handled in accordance with established COSHH standards and as recommended by the manufacturer
Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials
Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner
Track and manage scrap generated at site in accordance with company standard procedures
Manage and track slow moving materials and ensure minimal retention of obsolete stock
Ensures that all physical receipts (GRNs) and issues (SIVs) are posted on ERP within 24 hours
Ensure all stores are compliant with standards in Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment in all our business transactions
Provide total management and training of all storekeepers to ensure service delivery
Carryout regular audits of all stores on a monthly basis
