Job Description

POSITION PURPOSETo welcome guests and answer all enquiries observing set standardsand with patience Have a complete knowledge of the treatments and servicesoffered, and any promotions that may be on offer at the time To ensure thatall operational procedures, codes of conduct and standards of appearance aslaid down by the Assistant Spa Manager are implemented and adhered to by allreception staff To organize scheduling and maximize use of time within thediaryESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- To ensure a warmfriendly welcome to all clientele at all times- To co-ordinate guestsconsultation records with the Therapists- Ensure that all relevantspa staff receive a print out of their daily schedule- To adhere to an agreedreporting system on a timely basis- To be responsible forall billing procedures at the reception desk and the correct reconciliation offunds at the close of each shift and at the end of the day s work- Complete daily openingprocedures and check lists per relevant area daily- Schedule reservationsof Spa services for guests and monitor availability of treatments and staff toensure prompt service according to the relevant skills of the therapists- To organize schedulingto maximize use of time and profitability whilst ensuring that the client sneeds are of first importance- Assist withadministration duties such as, purchasing, receiving and inventory reporting- To give the clientelethe best possible service, and make the client feel important- To show a professionalattitude at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance andgeneral manner- To ensure that alladministrative procedures run professionally- To supervise andconduct the safety of users and equipment in the spa and receive training toensure that all relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety atWork Law and Health and Hygiene standards are implemented and monitored withinthe spa- To recognize theimportance of sales in every aspect of their role- To have full retailknowledge of products and prices charged- Must attend alltraining courses as deemed necessary by the Spa SupervisorQUALIFICATION STANDARDS- Must have proven trackrecord in Spa, Fitness or Hospitality industry- Must be able to assistguests with inquiries- Must be able to speakand write in English- Totally embrace thephilosophy of guest and customer service and owns the guests- Identify yourself withthe hotel s brand and operating philosophy- Possess a warm andfriendly demeanor- Strive to achievesatisfaction and delight of our customers- Must be detailed orientedMarriott International is an equalopportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining aninclusive culture Marriott International does not discriminate on the basis ofdisability, veteran status or any other basis protected under federal, state orlocal laws
