Job Description

Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to thefollowingTo report for duty as per schedule, clean and tidy andwearing the correct uniform as per the standard of performance manual Tostrive to anticipate client needs wherever possible and react to these toenhance client satisfaction Tooversee the waiters, captains during service and offer assistance whennecessary Tomaintain all food and beverage service standards Togreet guests on arrival, offer menus and drinks Totake the orders and be fully conversant with the menus, offering suggestionswhere possible Ensurethat the presentation, quality and quantity of the food is up to the Wavesrestaurant standards and remain so Tocarry out any duties as may be requested by the Manager in his absences Tocarry out any other supervisory, administrative or service related tasks as maybe assigned Toassist all other F&B Departments in Le Meridien as and when requiredaccording to business needs Toattend departmental communication meetings, trainings and to ensure that allstaff operates in line with the instructions received Toreport any maintenance defects to the engineering department and follow up Toact according to the complaint handling standards and procedures Toacknowledge returningregular clients Tocomply with hotel and company mandatory requirements for fire, health andsafety, licensing and employment and to ensure that members of the team arealso aware of these requirements and are working in accordance with therequirements Togive full cooperation to any client or colleague requiring assistance in aprompt, caring and helpful mannerTo move into this position, you shouldhaveCustomerFocus Actively seeks feedback from customersrather than wait for complaints Is always concerned with maintainingstandards accuracy and quality Consistently produces error free outputLeadership Coaches team members on the job, givesdemonstrations for on the job training Uses questions in coaching style toencourage others to solve problems themselves Lead by example, displays behaviors thatreflect the desired work norms and values Allows individuals to complete tasks ontheir own but provides support when requiredTeamWork Willing to share freely knowledge,information, ideas and experience to assist others Works with and supports others as partof a team both within and across functions Shows awareness sensitivity tolerance towards cultural differences by moderating own culturalbehaviors Understands the needs to work togetherto create an environment of cooperation and mutual responsibility Gives credit and recognition to others Distributes work equally and accordingto the abilities of the teamMarriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture Marriott International does not discriminate on the basis of disability, veteran status or any other basis protected under federal, state or local laws
