Principal Accountabilities:

2. Tasks and Duties:
a. Prepares monthly and annual preventive maintenance program of all machinery and equipment of the boiler house, raw water treatment plant, air compressor and dryer, wastewater treatment plant, fire fighting station, hydrants and drain pits.
b. Implements the monthly preventive maintenance program ensuring that utility machinery and equipment installations at the Factory are maintained to the highest standard and operating at optimum efficiency.
c. Ensures that subordinates follow the standard operating procedures and safety practices for all utilities machinery and equipment as per the Quality Manual.
d. Ensures regular monitoring and recording of the instrument control panel readouts of the utilities machinery and equipment and ensures correct adjustments in operations parameter settings if needed.
e. Ensures correct dosages of chemicals and materials for boiler, waste water treatment plants as per Quality Manual.
f. Ensures sufficient supply of air, steam and treated water required by the Refinery, Plastic and Filling sections.
g. Ensures regular sampling of water after sand filter, softener, boiler water and feed water and of the contaminated and after treatment water in the waste water treatment plant for laboratory test and analysis.
h. Ensures regular operations monitoring, testing and maintenance of fire station and hydrants, drain pits and submersible pumps.
i. Ensures proper distribution and delegation of job orders to subordinate staff and monitors and follow up completion ensuring quality of job performance. Prepares Materials Issue Document for spare parts and materials needed to perform the job orders.
j. Maintains proper repair and maintenance service records for all utility machinery and equipment for reference and analysis.
k. Recommends and justifies to the modifications, replacement or additional machinery and equipment for Utilities section.
l. Reviews the daily shift operations logbook for anything that needs immediate attention or action. Performs trouble shooting as and when required and specifies to subordinate the repairs that need to be done through job order except electrical and welding jobs.
m. Coordinates with the Maintenance and SP Stores to ensure sufficient stocks of chemicals and spare parts to maintain and operate the utilities machinery and equipment. Assist in the quality inspection of material and spare part deliveries prior to acceptance.
.n. Prepares weekly manpower work schedule and ensures subordinate compliance. Prepares employee time sheets and overtime report.
o. Submits daily operations and maintenance summary report including daily consumption and stock balance of diesel, chemicals and materials for utility operation. Prepares other routine report as and when required.
p. Conducts continuous on-the-job training of subordinate staff and prepares their annual performance appraisal.
q. Ensures that all tools, testing equipment and instruments issued to his subordinates are serviceable, regularly maintained and calibrated and in good condition and are accounted for.
r. Ensures proper housekeeping in the boiler house, water treatment plant, air compressor and dryer plant, waste water treatment plant, fire fighting station and other facility under Utilities section.
s. Ensures that subordinates observe proper hygiene, safety and security practices, wearing of proper uniform and other Company rules and regulations. Reports any non-compliance for proper administrative action.

The Energy Performance officer is the contact/responsible for energy within Fleet Management. It is his responsibility to support the Manager Technical Projects and Environment with identifying managerial, operational and technical energy reducing measures, coordinate implementation within Fleet Management, develop relevant key performance indicators to measure savings and enroot energy in Fleet Management to continuously improve consumption of energy. In addition it is his responsibility to support the VP Fleet Management with a performance report for the own fleet. He is the technical expert in respect of engine, hull and propulsion optimization identifying opportunities for energy optimization on owned as well as chartered vessels.
Job Responsibilities:
Plan:
Support Energy Performance Manager in defining and establishing the energy performance strategy
Be the owner of measurements and benchmarks. Identify and detail (cost, benefits, risks) measures to improve performance
Support Energy Performance Manager in analyzing the expected costs and benefits as well as related risks for energy saving measures
Identify and communicate IT requirements and shortcomings within Fleet Management
Implement:
Provide guidance and train all Superintendents, Subject Matter Experts and crews on energy management related matters
Create awareness for energy optimization onshore and onboard within Fleet Management
Maintain a dialogue with, -and support the crew concerning energy management related issues. Any possible changes to existing procedures shall be implemented through established document control procedures
Ensure presence of energy on the agendas of relevant meetings within Fleet Management and onboard invite for additional meetings required and communicate to Fleet Teams & crews
Drive realization of performance management and performance improvement within Fleet Management
Continuously (daily) manage Fleet Management performance
Support VP Fleet Management in preparing performance management related presentations and analysis
