Primary Function:
This is a challenging position involving the provision of technical support and management of UOPs service relationships with RefiningPetrochemical customers. Key aspects of the role are Management of UOP’s service obligations under its existing Service Agreements; Ensuring customer satisfaction with UOP processes, products, and services; Understanding the customers needs; Fostering and maintaining strong customer relationships; and prospecting for opportunities to further develop UOPs business.

Storage Specialist
1. B.S. or equivalent degree preferably in Computer Engineering from a recognized university is a must.
2. Minimum age of 30 years.
3.Minimum six (6) years experience of SAN administration in a corporate environment
4. Minimum four (5) years of experience on designing, implementing and supporting enterprise storage subsystems and fibre channel fabrics.
Preferably IBM Certified to work on IBM SAN products.
5. Minimum (4) years experience in administration of SAN Directors (IBM)..
7. Sound exposure to TCP/IP networking issues and, preferably CISCO networking hardware.
8. Good experience with IBM Replication storage software.
9. Minimum (5) years in AIX administration.
10. Ability to work in a highly matrixes, team oriented environment
11. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
12. Strong creative and analytical problem solving skills.
Typical storage administration responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performs basic engineering work concerned with the analysis, planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading of storage area network systems;
performs various tests and documents results;
administers and maintains local and remote storage area networks; provides technical support and troubleshooting to users;
assists in the maintenance and operation of storage area networks data communications systems;
Configure and administer Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) storage and associated components.
Allocate SAN storage to Windows, UNIX, Linux servers.
Configure and administer Storage Area Network (SAN) and associated components; including Fibre Channel switch administration. Configuration and maintenance of SAN zoning.
Configure and administer data replication between main site and DR site.
Maintain storage aspects of new server integrations, storage allocation, and change management.
Configure and administer Network attached storage (NAS)
Configure and administer and troubleshooting of IBM Cluster software
Setup procedures to consolidate storage of data from different platforms such as Windows, UNIX, and Linux).
Troubleshoot and fix storage issues.
Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance.
Provide formal and informal storage administration training.
Storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components.
Document the policies and procedures to support the operational storage environment and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies.
Prepare reports on storage administration best practices, new technologies, etc., and recommend enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize storage
Administration of AIX NAS server, allocation of NAS storage to remote users.
Administration of HACMP on AIX NAS server
